Marynelle + Doug were married on a pretty steamy mid-summer’s day in Virginia. Which tells you that it’s been awhile since I’ve added a new wedding to the blog!! Anyway, their ceremony was held at the quaint St. John’s Episcopal Church in McLean followed by a reception at 2941 Restaurant nearby in Falls Church. Best of all in both places was the wonderful light. The church was clean and spare and just awash with natural light. The portraits of Marynelle before the ceremony were some of my favorites from the day. And it’s hard to beat 2941 for it’s floor to ceiling windows, waterfall and koi pond and cobalt blue wall accents. I just loved the linens and textures in the room! But light and décor aside, the smile on Marynelle’s face all day long from the moment she saw Doug as she walked down the aisle, just couldn’t have been any wider or full of joy. Fabulous food (and a chocolate fountain (the groom’s special request), bobblehead cats and a rocking band rounded out their wonderful day. Special thanks to Vicky Choy who ran with day like clockwork and made my life a breeze!
